What should a master do with a Letter of Protest given to him by a terminal supervisor?

(1)Sign it "for receipt only"; (2) return the original to the sender; and (3)file the received letter in the cargo file or "protests received"file. (In many cases a separate file is kept of all documents relating to a particular cargo.)
