On what occasions must entries be made in a Ballast Water Record Book?

(2) when ballast water is circulated or treated for ballast water management purposes; (3) when ballast water is discharged into the sea; (4) when ballast water is discharged to a reception facility; and (5) when there are accidental or other exceptional uptake or discharges of ballast water must be followed, with approval granted exclusively by IMO.
