What should a master do if charterers refuse to acknowledge receipt of his notice of readiness?

(1) Make daily attempts to have the notice accepted; (2) send a letter of protest to charterers or their agent; (3) consult owners' P&I club correspondent; (4) note protest as soon as possible.
