It should either contain the carrier's terms, conditions and exceptions (as on a liner bill of lading) or state where these can be found (as on a charter party bill of lading).
The fact that a bill of lading has been issued by the carrier is strong evidence that a contract of carriage with him was entered into by the shipper.
