What operations may be exempted from application of the STS Regulations?

Examples are: transfers as part of seismic survey operations; transfers as part of cable laying or pipe laying operations; transfer operations involving offshore support vessels; bunker transfers outside statutory harbour areas for ships of restrictively deep draft; and transfer operations in situations of force majeure.
